When vehicles race on open roadways, there is a significant chance that a serious crash could take place. Auto accidents that involve speed as a factor could lead to innocent individuals being hurt or killed. In such cases, family members of deceased victims may wish to file a legal claim against the driver considered at fault in order to seek justice.

One family in Oklahoma may be exploring civil legal options after new information pertaining to an accident was recently revealed. Reports stated that a woman was killed earlier this year as she was attempting to cross a street on foot. More recently, it was revealed that witnesses stated that a car and motorcycle were racing in the area and that the car struck the woman as she was walking.

The woman suffered fatal injuries after being dragged underneath the vehicle. She was declared dead at the scene. A warrant was issued recently for the arrest of the driver of the car for charges of negligent homicide and reckless driving. The motorcyclist who was apparently also involved in the race had not yet been identified at the time of the report.
